Allow devices to join the network

• • To install device control using the app on the user’s phone a new HC (home controller) central controller is required, version 2020 and above (Bluetooth Mesh core hardware supported) and home created on the system.
  • Users who sign in to the Lumi Life app => select settings => select device settings => select HC=> Bluetooth=> for the device joining the network
• Observe the state of the lamp, if the light flashes 2 times in a row for 2 seconds, then the yellow light means that it has successfully joined the network.
• If the device does not join the network, the device may have been configured, the user resets the device to return to network join mode.

After the device successfully joins the network, we can control the basic functions (adjust the color temperature, increase the brightness or turn on / off) above App Lumi Life.

#Reset the device

In case the device has been configured to the network before, after re-powering, the light will re-light up the previously configured state, at this point, if we want to configure the device to join another network, it is necessary to reset the device. To reset the device, we take the following steps:

• Power/disconnect the device 5 times in a row, the interval between each status switch from Off -> On for about 5 seconds, then we’ll see the lights flashing three times.

• Within 8 seconds immediately after the flashing light, we proceed to turn off the power and power the lamp again to confirm the Reset device. After successful reset, the light will flash and turn white.

NOTE: Assuming the device that joined HC’s Bluetooth Mesh network is then turned off by the Lumi Life App, however due to an issue that causes HC to not work, at the moment we cannot turn the device back on via App Lumi Life, the customer can perform the device power off / back action twice (the time between Off -> Turn on the device is about 5 -> 10 seconds) to turn on the device.
